Licensing Information

To hunt in North Carolina you must obtain a NC hunting license. You can do this online at: www.ncwildlife.org or call 888.248.6834 or write

Licenses can be purchased after July 1st of each year.

Before applying for a swan permit, you must have your NC hunting license. Swan permits can also be purchased from the NC Wildlife Resource Commission. A federal duck stamp is also required to hunt swan. The state of North Carolina draws 5,000 permits annually, so get your application in early!
